A woman Was Caught With 193 Wraps Of Cocaine.

A female traveller, Rose Igbainoba, has been arrested with 193 wraps of cocaine inside packs of sweets at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos. The whitish substance tested positive to cocaine and weighed 3.230kgs. Anti-narcotics officials discovered the drugs in the luggage of the 24-year old Igbainoba, who was returning to Nigeria from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) also arrested a suspected member of the drug cartel identified as Chimezie Ofor. The NDLEA Commander at the MMIA, Mr. Ahmadu Garba, said Igbainoba, who hails from Edo State, was found in possession of the drug while a suspected member of the drug cartel in Lagos was successfully traced and apprehended. He said: “Igbainoba Uche Rose, who concealed 3.230kgs inside sweets, was apprehended at the arrival hall during inward screening of passengers. A suspected member of the cartel, Ofor Kamsochukwu Chimezie, was arrested on a follow-up operation. The suspects are being investigated.” The Head, Public Affairs of NDLEA, Ofoyeju Mitchell, said in a statement that during interrogation, Igbainoba said that she worked as a clerical officer after her secondary school. She said: “I work as a clerical officer after I completed my primary school because there was no money to further my studies. I have suffered hardship in life but a man offered to assist me to establish my personal business. He promised to pay me N500,000. This was how I got involved in this problem.” The Chairman/Chief Executive of NDLEA, Muhammad Abdallah, warned drug traffickers to desist from their criminal acts. He said: “Drug criminals should shun their unlawful act because the agency has perfected strategies to detect narcotics notwithstanding how cleverly they were concealed. Recent drug seizures clearly reflect the reformation of the NDLEA as an intelligence-led organisation. “We are determined to trace major traffickers behind the scene and prosecute the barons.” Source: Nairaland

Drug Baron Held For Producing Drug In Anambra State..

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) yesterday said it had arrested a suspected drug baron who specialised in sponsoring drug couriers to China, Malaysia, Turkey, Italy and other foreign countries. Addressing journalists at office of the agency at Ikoyi, Lagos, the NDLEA Chairman, Ahmadu Giade, said the 37-year-old suspect, Sylvester Chukwunwendu, was also a producer of methamphetamine in Anambra State. Giade said that Chukwunwendu was arrested at Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State based on intelligence report received by the agency on April 23, 2014. The suspect was said to be deeply involved in unlawful exportation of illicit drugs and running a methamphetamine production laboratory in his house at No. 2, St. James Close, Ajao Estate, Isolo, Lagos. Chukwunwendu, aka Blessed, was alleged to be the owner of the laboratory and leader of an international drug trafficking organisation which recruits and sponsors drug couriers to foreign countries. Giade said that sufficient evidence had been gathered to ease the prosecution of the suspect. He said: “The Special Enforcement Team (SET) of the agency has concluded a model investigation of an international Drug Trafficking Organisation (DTO), after 13 months intense surveillance on the suspect before he was finally arrested.” According to the chairman, the suspect hides under the cover of different businesses in running his drug business with international affiliation. Some of his companies include Blessed Benita Global Limited, Ideal Motorcycle Company Limited and God’s Special Enterprise Limited. He added: “Some of his couriers to China, Malaysia, Turkey and Italy were usually paid an average of $5,000 per trip.” It was further gathered that the suspect hired one Raphael, a professional methamphetamine cook, to work for him. The said Raphael is paid N500,000 for his service and N700,000 for the purchase of precursor chemicals per production cycle. Items recovered from the suspect’s residence include 2.615kg of liquid methamphetamine found inside a yellow plastic jug, 250 grams of crystallised methamphetamine concealed in a white polythene bag and some laboratory equipment. Also recovered are two Nigerian international passports, one Ghanaian passport all bearing Chukwunwendu’s photographs, with different names. There are also one measuring scale, six heating filters, six giant conical flasks, industrial tubes and cups of sodium hydroxide. Giade disclosed that in another development, 23kg of methamphetamine was intercepted along Badagry Expressway, Lagos, en-route Cotonou. The suspect, identified as Azubike, is standing trial at the Federal High Court, Lagos in respect of the seizure. In his confessional statement, Azubike said he was sponsored by Chukwunwendu.

NDLEA Arrests Drug Baron Shipping $23m Narcotics To South Africa.

The Special Enforcement Team (SET) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a suspected drug baron, Tochukwu Harris Ubah, in connection with an attempted export of 266kg of methamphetamine and 310 kg of ephedrine to South Africa. Ubah, also known as Etochukwu Alaek Weubah and Eto Ubah was arrested at the weekend. The NDLEA believed the 42 year-old is coordinating a large volume of methamphetamine and ephedrine distribution in and out of the country. He was apprehended after intense undercover operations in connection with illegal exportation of 576kgs of narcotics to Durban, South Africa through Apapa Port, Lagos. The drugs were valued at $23million or N4.6 billion naira. They were hidden inside noodles, cereals and palm oil. According to NDLEA, Ubah has a company Visoch Resources Limited which he uses as a cover for his clandestine drug business. Apart from the seized drugs, other items in the consignment include maize, vegetables, palm oil, malt drinks, seasoning, noodles and cereals. According to SET commander, Mr Sunday Zirangey, the suspected drug kingpin, Tochukwu was arrested at the old local section of the Murtala Muhammed Airport upon arrival from Enugu. “His arrest took place simultaneously with the interception of the consignment of drugs to South Africa. He was immediately taken to the Port to witness the search operations. The methamphetamine was hidden inside packs of Golden More Cereals and Indomie Noodles while the ephedrine was concealed among gallons of palm oil” Zirangey stated. Chairman/Chief Executive of the Agency, Ahmadu Giade described the arrest as another milestone achievement in Nigeria’s fight against narcotics.

Oil Baron Was Arrested By EFFC Over #23 Billion Bribery Scam.

Olalekan Adetayo and Eniola Akinkuotu, Abuja In a continuation of the probe into how the Peoples Democratic Party allegedly bribed some officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission before the 2015 presidential election, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested an oil tycoon, Mr. Laitan Adesanya, for his alleged role in the $115m (N23bn) bribe funds. It was learnt on Sunday that Adesanya, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Lenoil Nigeria Limited, was arrested by the EFCC in Lagos on Friday. The anti-graft agency had, last week, arrested the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank Plc, Mr. Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo and the bank’s Head of Operations, Mr. Martin Izuogbe. Adesanya was alleged to have handed $1.85m to the bank based on the instruction of a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke. Other companies, which allegedly handed over money to the bank MD, included Northern Belt Gas Company Limited ($60m); Auctus Integrated ($17.8m); and Midwestern Oil and Gas ($9.5m). Diezani was also alleged to have given the bank MD $26m in cash which was ultimately disbursed to officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission ahead of the 2015 presidential election as bribes. A reliable source at the EFCC said Adesanya was in the custody of the commission in Lagos and was being grilled as of Friday. He said, “We are asking him about the $1.85m he dropped and what purpose it was supposed to serve.” According to the United Kingdom Financial Times, Adesanya is an international oil businessman, who has been in the business for decades. The newspaper states that Adesanya made huge profits during the military administrations of the 1980s and 1990s. Also, sources within the EFCC have denied claims by Fidelity Bank Plc that it reported all its financial dealings to the appropriate authorities The bank had, in a statement last week, stated that “transactions were duly reported as required by the regulators and the bank is cooperating fully with the authorities on the investigation.” However, the source said the $26m, which the MD allegedly collected directly from Diezani, was neither reported to the Central Bank of Nigeria nor the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit, which is domiciled in the EFCC. The source added, “The $26m cash that was collected from Diezani was not deposited into any account. So, how could they say they reported it? They didn’t report anything because the money was given to the bank for safekeeping and there was no intention for it to be used to open an account. “If it was put in the system, then, there must be records. Who brought the money? They don’t know. They were supposed to have reported the transaction to the CBN and NFIU, which is domiciled in the EFCC but there is no such report. “The money was meant for distribution to INEC officials. Killer Of General Mohammed Shuwa Arrested.

The Nigerian military on Monday said it arrested a man suspected to have murdered the pioneer General Officer Commanding of the Army’s First Division, General Mohammed Shuwa (rtd). The spokesperson for the Army, Sani Usman, said the suspect was arrested in Kano by officials of the Nigerian military intelligence. Mr. Usman, a colonel, did not provide details about the identity of the suspect. He only said he would be paraded in Kano where he was arrested. The army spokesperson also did not comment on a separate group of suspects the army earlier said it arrested in connection with the killing, and whether this new suspect has any relationship with those earlier ones. The Joint Task Force (JTF) on Operation Restore Order in Borno State had on May 6, 2013 claimed it arrested the suspected killers of the general in Maiduguri. The spokesman for the JTF at the time, Sagir Musa, said in a statement that the arrest followed series of investigations by the task force. “It will be recalled that an elder statesman, retired Maj.-Gen. Mohammadu Shuwa, was shot dead by gunmen in front of his house in Gwange, Maiduguri on November 12, 2012. “Preliminary investigation by the JTF has identified two key suspected Boko Haram terrorists: Mohammed Ibn Saleh and Abdulkareem Ibrahim, as the masterminds of the killing,” Mr. Musa had said. He added that a special operation was carried out by the JTF to get the suspected killers. “Consequently, a special operation was conducted on November 15, 2012 by the task force with a view to arresting the culprits, which led to the death of Ibn Saleh during a shootout in a house at Bulabulin Ngarnam. “Similarly, on December 2, 2012, Abdulkareem was arrested with a fatal injury that resulted in his death on December 6, 2012. A member of the syndicate, one Bulama Bur died on December 2, 2012 in an encounter with JTF troops,” Mr. Sagir said at the time. He said the JTF also arrested four other members of the gang. He said one of those arrested was “actively involved in the planning and execution of the plan that led to the killing of Shuwa, while the two others played various indirect roles”. The army provided no updates on the arrested suspects since then, and PREMIUM TIMES was unaware that they were ever charged to court. Mr. Shuwa was murdered on November 2, 2012 in his residence in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, by gunmen thought to be members of the terrorist Boko Haram sect. The deadly sect later denied responsibility for the killing. Witnesses had told PREMIUM TIMES at the time that the Nigerian civil war veteran was shot multiple times in front of his home at the lower Gwange area of the troubled city. The Story Of My Life-------by Mrs.Roseline Nnawuihe My name is Roseline Nnawuihe. I am the wife of Nze Benjamin Nnawuihe from Umuezukwe, Awo-Omamma, Imo state, Nigeria, and we live in Dallas. I have been following very closely the various write-ups on the internet, especially those written by my husband with regard to the upcoming Orlu elections in Dallas, and I have come to the conclusion that I can no longer keep quiet while innocent people¢s character and personality are slowly but surely being destroyed. For those who have been following the internet lately, Mr. Benjamin Nnawuihe in his most recent writings, indicated that me his wife, has been sleeping around with other men. He has also waged a war against another man who he claims is the cause of all his family problems. I have been married to Benjamin Nnawuihe for 20years, and had 5 children for him. I was married to him at the age of 18years, and joined him in Dallas from Nigeria after my high school. For those 20years of marriage which can pass for 20years of bondage and slavery, I have had to endure constant physical abuse, verbal abuse, and emotional abuse and mental torture in the hands of Mr. Nnawuihe. On my very first day in this country, he sat me down and lectured me on the ills of associating with other people. It did not matter who. He cut me off from all my relatives and my friends. He did not allow me to talk to anybody on the phone. He got me pregnant every year even when I protested, because according to him, he did not want all those men eying his beautiful wife. He would not let me out of the house unless to go to work or to go to the grocery, and I was on the time clock for both errands. When I come home from grocery, my husband will go through the list of items on the receipt to make sure they were only the things that he wanted. He would make me return any of the items to the store if it was a personal thing. For the purchase of the grocery, he will tear out one check leaf and write the name of the store on it. I have worked two jobs since my arrival in this country. God help me if I was running more than fifteen minutes late in coming home. I would get the physical beating of my life. He would call my job at school and make complaints to get me fired. He actually called the police a few years back and alleged that I was into Medicare fraud. I refused to call the police even when I was urged on by many people because I loved him, and also because he threatened my life if he ever had a police record. Even then, he still called the police himself and made a report just to build up a record against me. I would hide my bodily bruises from people, and lie just to protect him. Last year 2006, while he was leaving for ORA convention in Miami, he seized my cell phone so that I do not talk to anybody while he is away. When I tried to get the phone from him, he called the police and told them that I prevented him from making a 911 call. I thought it was all a joke until the police came and handcuffed me and put me in jail. I spent that weekend in jail while he was away in Miami enjoying himself. I had no way of contacting anybody. Even my children were helpless and stayed at home hungry. My 16year old son then contacted my friend Mrs. Livina Ike who contacted a lawyer. That lawyer was attorney Godson Anyanwu who bailed me from jail and handled that case. He is a living witness today. This man is so insecure that I got a beating anytime he sighted me greeting any man, even if they are his relatives. Whenever we went to parties together, we will always leave early fighting all the way home just because a man asked me for a dance and he would attack the person. At my age, I still look VERY GOOD, and I am grateful to my God for that. Every man that talked to me or complemented me was my lover. I have gradually learned to put up some resistance and not curl up like a baby and cry all day as I used to. Benjamin Nnawuihe can talk and bark all night long when he is mad, and still go to work in the morning. He forbade me from owning a cell phone because he wanted to make sure I was not talking to other men behind him. It was not until two years ago after I had a tire blow-out on my way from work and was stranded on the highway at midnight that I disobeyed him and got a cell phone. Even though I have been the major bread-winner in the household, I will always handover my paycheck to Ben every pay day as he instructed, and I was forbidden from owning a bank account, or to call my parents in Nigeria, not to talk of sending any money to them to feed with. Benjamin has never been gainfully employed since I arrived in this country, but he was able to build a house in Nigeria with all the money he collected from me. It was only a few years ago that I disobeyed him and opened an account because it was becoming difficult for him to give me money even to buy my under-wears. My husband¢s relationship with his children is even worse. He beats and abuses them on the slightest pretext. He does not know how those children are fed or clothed. Unlike other fathers he does notparticipate in any of the children¢s school activities. When they disagree with him on any issue, he threatens to disown them. For the past one year, he is not on speaking terms with our 17year old son because he does not agree with his father¢s treatment of me and Benjamin Nnawuihe has told him several times that he is not his father. Anybody who has seen this boy will see the carbon copy of Benjamin Nnawuihe. Mr. Nnawuihe has not allowed me to travel to Nigeria since 1999 even when my father died, or even to go see my sick old mother. Through all these years, I have been very supportive of my husband. I have been faithful to him till this day but he will always accuse me of sleeping around due to his insecurity. He is a very hateful and wicked man and he does not forgive. People see him as a very angry man who never smiles, and they wonder how I have put up with him all these years. He does not have any friends because he cannot keep friends. His politics is that of bitterness and personal destruction. He is very devilish and should be avoided by decent people. In 2004 he had a land dispute at home with a man from Umuezukwe, Awo-Omamma. While traveling to Nigeria that year, he swore that the young man will not be alive to live on that piece of property. He later rushed back to the United States suddenly. I later learned that the young man in the land dispute has been shot dead by unknown people. Is Ben Nnawuihe a murderer? You be the Judge.This is just one of several cases. Let me get to the issue about Dr. Okechukwu. For the records, let me state that I have never had any extramarital affairs with anybody for that matter since I married Mr. Benjamin Nnawuihe. My God knows this, and Benjamin Nnawuihe knows this. In 2005 OOPA elections, I was running for the post of PRO against Mr. Ifeanyi Iwunze who is Dr. Okechukwu¢s good friend. I was not comfortable going through with an election because I felt that I will lose because people hate my husband. I was advised by those who know him to approach Dr. Okechukwu to help in urging Mr. Iwunze to step down for me because they were very good friends. My husband was not in good terms with the Iwunze family, so I asked Dr. Okechukwu not to tell my husband about it because he will feel insulted. Later on, my husband saw details of phone calls between me and Dr. Okechukwu on our phone bill and accused me of sleeping with him. He refused to listen to any explanations. About two weeks later n December 2005, Dr. Okechukwu visited us with his wife and children in what ndi-igbo call ¡igba oriko¢. They ate, drank, and spent the entire Sunday evening with us. Dr. Okechukwu used the opportunity to explain everything to my husband that nothing happened between us, and that it was just politics. Mr. Nnawuihe will not let the matter go. He called Dr. Okechukwu on the phone several times threatening that he will kill him, and Dr. Okechukwu reported the matter to the police. He has vowed that he will destroy Dr. Okechukwu¢s reputation in Dallas, United States, and Nigeria. He is going around telling people that Dr. Okechukwu writes me checks in thousands of dollars and bought a car for me. I am here to state that Dr. Okechukwu has not given me any money, and does not give me any money. For years I put up with Benjamin Nnawuihe letting me use the car to work when it pleases him, and seizing the keys when it does not please him. In order not to lose my job, I saved up some money to buy a car. Mr. Nnawuihe went with me the day I bought my car. It was the little money I saved up I used to make down payment like everyone else and I am carrying a car note. Anybody who has had an accident and been to a doctor will understand what I am about to say. I was involved in an accident with my car. I received treatment at Medical Rehabilitation clinic owned by Dr. Okechukwu/ Dr. Ezenagu/ Dr. Ozor. The money that was paid by the insurance company included $300 (three hundred dollars) for pain and suffering which was paid to me on the official clinic check. My husband seized that check till this day but continues to tell people that Dr. Okechukwu wrote a check for one thousand dollars for me. My husband knows the truth because he was aware of my treatment, and also because has had the same experience with Dr. Okechukwu in the past. If Mr. Nnawuihe can prove his story, then I am guilty of everything he has accused me of. My problems with Benjamin Nnawuihe started long before Dr. Okechukwu arrived in town, and has taken a turn for the worse since Acho Orabuchi and his wife got involved in my family affairs and became his chief adviser. I want people to ask around in Dallas what happened to several families that took Acho Orabuchi in as their friend and adviser. Ask Chief Ike. Ask Mr. Godwin Ibekwe, ask Mr. Festus Okorie. Where do I stop? Yet Acho Orabuchi continues to live with his own wife Ngozi Kate Orabuchi who was arrested for shoplifting in 1997, and again convicted of shoplifting and theft in 1999. If Acho Orabuchi wants me to post the public record on the internet, let him declare that I am lying. This same people will go on the internet, pass moral judgments on others and circulate salacious materials about them. Are the Orabuchis home wreckers and more? You be the judge. I have no University education because Benjamin Nnawuihe wanted me only to work and not go to school. My grammar may not be the best, but I have tried my best with some of my educated female friends to put my ideas together in this story. My experience in the hands of Mr. Benjamin Nnawuihe will fill a whole novel. I have only given a brief summary of it. Anybody reading my story will ask why I am telling it. I have two reasons. The world must know the truth about who Benjamin Nnawuihe really is because he has taken the moral high ground and he has put his family matter out there. I left Benjamin Nnawuihe nine months ago while he was in Nigeria because knowing him, that is the only time that I can leave safely. I have waited this long to do it because I wanted my children to grow up a little more in a family setting with a father and a mother but Benjamin Nnawuihe chose not to be a responsible father. I will wonder for the rest of my life if I made a good decision, but I leave it in Gods hands. The second reason for my story is that I believe there are hundreds of women out there married to Nigerian men who are living my life. They need to know that they have a choice. If there is anybody out there who thinks that what Benjamin Nnawuihe has done to me is acceptable, it is my prayers that their daughters meet the same fate when they marry. I do not have much access to the internet. I am asking whosoever that reads my story to please send it out to as many forums as they have access to. Silence they say is golden. Nigerian's Man was Nabbed with Drug In South Africa.

Members of EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit on Tuesday, April 26, arrested a 30-year-old Nigerian national for possession of drugs at a block of flats at the intersection of Rietfontein Road and Second Street, in Boksburg North, South Africa. According to EMPD spokesperson Lieut-Col Wilfred Kgasago: “On Tuesday, April 26, a block of flats in Boksburg North was staked out for a couple of hours by EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members following receipt of information about a suspected drug-dealer,” Kgasago said a man fitting the description appeared at around 11am, after the block of flats had been observed for about three hours. “He was found in possession of drugs and was arrested.” Kgasago added that the drugs were confiscated. “A total of 38 ziplock bags of cat, worth R3 000 on the streets, were found on the said person,” The man was taken to the Boksburg North Police Station and charged with possession and suspected dealing in illicit substances.
